Things to Do In the Water on Your Vanuatu Holidays

There are a number of water activities to do on your island adventure. These things range from kayaking in crystal clear waters to snorkeling along coral reefs to deep sea fishing. Things to discover under the water include ancient ship wrecks and bustling sea life. Putting the beaches aside, the most noteworthy swim spots to visit are the blue water holes and waterfalls that can be found a few kilometers from Port Villa. Worthy of a mention is Mele Cascades, a picturesque waterfall that flows into a natural blue plunge pool.  There is a cafe there too for coffee lovers. Moreover, one of the Vanuatu’s best kept secrets is Turtles Bay, a place where you can swim with a 60 year old turtle in a purpose built ocean pool and see rescued baby turtles. With so many gorgeous spots to explore and get your hair wet, Vanuatu is a true island paradise.

Although you could spend your whole holiday in your swimmers, there are still heaps of things to do on dry land. There’s history to learn, live volcanoes and caves to discover and shopping to do. Something you won’t soon forget is visiting Mt Yasur, an active volcano that you can see on a guided vehicle or walking tour!  The shopping is mostly market-style, where you can pick up goods produced by the locals, things you won’t be able to buy anywhere else.
